A practical AI video workflow for short-form creators

Short-form creators rarely have the luxury of long pre-production. Storyboards, shot lists and reference boards often take longer than the shoot itself. AI generation changes that balance by letting a creator test visual directions before committing to a schedule.
The workflow we recommend starts with a written brief: subject, mood, location, lens feel and colour palette. Feeding that brief into a text-to-image model produces a reference board in minutes, which then becomes the input for image-to-video generation.
Once motion clips exist, the editing stage stays conventional. Creators keep control of pacing, sound design and captions, while AI handles the expensive part: producing footage that would otherwise require a set, a crew or a location permit.
Token planning matters here. A five-second clip costs a predictable amount of tokens, so a creator can budget an entire campaign before the first render. Teams using the Studio pack typically allocate a fixed share of tokens to exploration and a fixed share to final renders.
The result is not a replacement for craft. Directors still choose the frame, and editors still build the rhythm. What changes is how many directions a creator can afford to explore before deciding.
